Looking back

Violinist Guo You and cellist Aurelien Pinchon were IT&T's Early Career Artists for the 2025–26 season. The scheme offers emerging baroque players the chance to perform in up to six IT&T concerts in a season, paid at the usual IT&T orchestral rate, along with coaching from an IT&T player, a professional headshot photoshoot and the chance to support and learn about our education work.

Guo and Aurelien joined us in rehearsals and concerts throughout the season, learning side by side with our players. Their year culminated in Virtuosity and Vocality, an Early Career Artist Showcase curated by Elizabeth Nurse, at Christ Church Cathedral on Tuesday 7 July 2026 as part of the Summer Concert Series.

We are enormously grateful to the Harrison-Frank Family Foundation and the Harold Hyam Wingate Foundation, whose generous support makes the Early Career Artist Scheme possible.
