Our musicians

Oxford’s own period orchestra

Instruments of Time & Truth brings together exceptional period instrumentalists who live and work in and around Oxford. Many hold principal positions with leading ensembles such as the Academy of Ancient Music, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and the English Baroque Soloists.

Led by our Principal Conductor, Edward Higginbottom, they play on period instruments, bringing the music of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries to life in Oxford’s historic chapels, churches and concert halls.
