Inspired by the name of Handel's last oratorio, Instruments of Time and Truth is a period ensemble presenting world-class performances of baroque and classical music in Oxford and the surrounding region. Every season we programme an exciting series of self-promoted concerts in the City's historic venues while also being an employable resource for Oxford's thriving musical community.

BIG GIVE ✶ Christmas Challenge 2025 🎄

BIGGIVE UPDATE, Friday 5th December

We have been amazed by the response to the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025. Thank you so much if you have already donated!

After only a couple of days, we met our original target of £3,000, which allowed us to unlock extra match funding. Having unlocked an additional £2,000 of match funding, we now have the potential to raise a total of £10,000 through this BigGive Christmas Challenge, thanks to our supporters’ generosity and the match funding.

A match-funded donation goes double-the-distance to bringing innovative baroque and classical performances and educational opportunities to the city of Oxford and beyond. Every penny donated goes towards IT&T’s work.

Thank you for your support!

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a match-funded and impactful donation: every donation made through the Big Give Christmas Challenge between the 2nd and 9th December 2025, up to £5,000, will be DOUBLED.

Thank you very much, and we look forward to welcoming you to one of our future concerts!

OXFORD TALENT

The ensemble is a showcase for the exceptional talents of international period musicians already resident in and around Oxford, who hold Principal positions with established groups such as the Academy of Ancient Music, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, and the English Baroque Soloists.

FOUNDER-MEMBERS WITH VISION

IT&T was created by its founder-members to work within the full spectrum of music-making in Oxford: historic concert venues and churches; college or amateur choirs; schools or institutions wanting an education programme.

INVESTING IN OUR COMMUNITY

We feel privileged to live in Oxford. We believe it is worth investing in our community and that we can encourage reciprocal investment from the community. By uniting the elements available to us – the talents, the expertise, the concert venues and the audience – Instruments of Time and Truth will enhance the life of our city.
